Arkansas Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Reference Case Projections

The Center for Climate Strategies (CCS) prepared a preliminary assessment of Arkansas’ greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and anthropogenic sinks (carbon storage) from 1990 to 2025 for the Arkansas Governor’s Commission on Global Warming (GCGW). The inventory and reference case projection (forecast) estimates serve as a starting point to assist the GCGW and Technical Work Groups (TWGs) with an initial comprehensive understanding of Arkansas’ current and possible future GHG emissions. This information informs the identification and analysis of policy options for mitigating GHG emissions.
